What that standing should mean in your journey

01

Fair, clear, not misleading

Financial promotions and insurance communications must present benefits, limits and risks in a balanced way.

02

Good customer outcomes

The Consumer Duty focuses on products and services, price and value, consumer understanding and consumer support.

03

Suitable route

Where regulated advice is provided, the recommendation must be based on relevant needs and circumstances—not the loudest headline.

04

Complaints route

You can complain to the firm and may be able to refer an eligible unresolved complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

FCA

What authorisation is—and is not

FCA authorisation is a regulatory status. It is not a government endorsement, a guarantee that a product will be suitable, or a promise that an insurer will pay every claim. Policy wording, underwriting, exclusions, pre-authorisation and eligibility still decide cover.

FSCS

Protection if a firm fails

FSCS may protect eligible policyholders if an authorised insurer or other protected firm fails. Most general insurance is protected at 90% of an eligible claim with no upper limit, but eligibility and product rules apply. FSCS does not decide ordinary policy claims or guarantee performance.

OUTCOMES
Products · value · understanding · support

Fast does not mean frictionless at any cost.

A good digital financial journey gives you space to read key documents, understand exclusions and pause before committing. Human support remains available where requested or where the circumstances require it—even though no sales call is required.
